Summer Trends- pt 1. Native American Inspired

Native American Inspired Summer Clothing
Great for Girls on a Budget

One of the most popular trends of the summer, is Native American and Vintage Inspired clothing and Jewelery. It was literally all over the runway in the Fall 2009 Shows for winter and summer, so naturally it would be in style for June and July.
Of course we don't want to go all out and wear these heavy, couture outfits. Instead we want to make the most out of the detailing and add it to our basic, light weight neutrals. My favorite place to go to look for cheap Native American Inspired clothing is Forever 21, as they have many options and accessories for a relatively low consumer price.
All of these Native American Inspired outfits are under 20.00 at Forever21.com

A few great cheap Forever21 Accessories under 10.00:

So there you have it! A cheap way to incorporate an awesome trend into your wardrobe. Any of the pairings from the two categories are under 30.00s all together! Perfect for that girl on a budget!

Now of course, we have to cover great Native American inspired hair! Girls are sporting it all over the place along the coast line, as the messy look is easy to achieve, chic, and looks really nice and has a sexy/laid back appeal. Below you can see the reference image of the actress who played Pocahontas in The New World- wearing her hair loose and wavy in a very relaxed period look.
Actress Q'orianka Kilcher
This look has become much more modernized and is now the signature look of singer K$SHA. Instead of the natural, gentle waves that Kilcher has- Which can be easily achieved by braiding long, unlayered hair loosely and leaving it in overnight- K$SHA upgrades the look into an edgy day/night look.
Her hair is waved very messily, teased, and texturized. She also wears feathers in her hair, giving it a more ethnic feel. Now, I don't know about you, but I think that this look, is perfect for summer. It is messy enough that you could even tie it into a pony tail if it gets a little too hot, and then when you are ready for partying in the evening, you would only have to let it down and the extra kinks in the hair from your hair tie would add to the sexy texturized appearance.

Unfortunately, I have recently cut my hair into a pixie cut, so I am unable to do a video tutorial on how to achieve this look myself, but I found a great one on youtube by ILYJESSICAOMG so that you all can see how it is done. Leave this girl props and comments! Check out her Blog at: http://ilyjessicaomg.blogspot.com/

So there you all go! I hope that you have great luck getting down this awesome summer trend!

Swim Wear! Swim Wear! Swim Wear!

It is that time of year! The time for Chic swimwear! Whether you are looking for something frilly and fun or something a little more cutting edge you can not go wrong with any of these fun looks right off the runway!

The best way to determine what kind of swimsuit that you ought to buy is to determine which will flatter your body type the best! Below is a chart made up of the four principle body types!

Now bear in mind that not everyone has the perfect model body type. The average woman suffers from things like cellulite and stretch marks. These things can make you feel uncomfortable and far from sexy, but the honest truth is that you need to GET OVER IT. It's a natural thing that some people are born with. Ever since I was in fourth grade and had a growth spurt from 4'4 to 5'5 I have had stretch marks- and get this, back then I weighed 90 pounds! It's natural!

It's time to embrace things that you think are flaws. Without a confident attitude, you can never truly pull off a swimsuit.

To be entirely honest, I feel much worse for the girls who run in the water wearing t-shirts and boyshorts to hide their weight when they could really own their natural beauty in a chic slimming One piece.

So girls, be confident in yourself first!

Then you can select the most flattering fit for your body to accentuate the things that you do like about yourself!

SO naturally this summer I have been watching the runways for great swim options by designers! Take a look at some of the latest designs!

Aqua Di Lara:

These swimsuits are wonderful if you are going for cutting edge and have a slender body with very slim hips and a smaller bust. The cut outs and lines gracefully provide a curvy silhouette!

Beach Bunny:

These swimsuits are good for thinner women who are a little heavier on top and a little curvier on the bottom. They are very sexy and are sure to turn heads.

Agua Bendita:

Agua Bendita is by far my favorite collection and is perfect for the pair shaped woman. The bright colors and patterns are flattering and draw the eye up, and the suits are moderately modest!

Ed Hardy:

These swimsuits are perfect for curvier women as they have lower busts and hide any unwanted bumps in the tummy and hips. They are very controlled and the detailing draws the eyes away from any imperfections.

Can't afford the big names?? Don't let prices get you down! There are plenty of great suits for any and every price range!! Take for instance a few of my favorite swimsuits!
